The Dwarf, the Unicorn and the Dragon
by Jamie

Once there was a dwarf who lived in a house next to Wonder Wood where fairy tale creatures come to life.

One day dwarf was walking in the wood when he heard someone crying in a cave. It was Jack the dragon. He had lost his horns. "While I was sleeping, I think someone stole them," said Jack.

So, dwarf decided to help Jack to find his horns. The two friends set off. First they met a witch called Jessie. Jack asked, "Have you seen my horns?"

"Yes I think I saw Scott the troll with them in his arms," said Jessie.

So they decided to set off again. But Jack bumped his head on a coconut tree and two big leaves fell on him to become his wings. But he still did not know how to fly. Soon they found Scott, but he did not have Jack's horns.

"I think I saw Jake the giant drop them in to the volcano on Death Hill," he said.

So they set of once again. It was three hours before they got to the top. The volcano was very smoky and it was hard to breathe. They walked on the edge of the volcano, then suddenly Jack fell in. Jack tried to fly but it was too late and he fell into the lava.

Dwarf shouted "Jack, are you okay?" No-one answered. Then suddenly Jack came flying up. "I'm flying!" he said. But Jack got a cold from flying up too high and when he sneezed, out came a flame of fire.

Then dwarf shouted, "Jack come down and pick me up so we can get going and ask the next creature we meet if they have your horns"

The next creature they met was Alex the unicorn and she had  Jack's horns.
